Dryness of skin is a common problem in cold. Like dryness, allergy is also a common problem for most of the people. What should be better way to keep ourselves safe from dryness and allergy? I think you should just follow some suggestions about how to keep our skin better in cold.
At first, you should know about allergy. It is a symptom that can be entered in our body from air, water or dust. Allergy can affect our skin, lungs, eyes, nose or throat.
Dryness of skin is also the biggest problem in cold. We face dandruff also commonly. Some skins are genetically dry but some changes with hormonal change.
I always suggest using oil in cold that is better than cream or moisturizer. You can use any olive oil or almond oil.
Sometimes, you face very hard skin on your knee or elbow. To keep your skin better on elbow or knee, you should use cream or oil. If it is not wok then you should consult a skin doctor.
In cold season, we always face less of proteins in our body. So, you should take some nuts in your food. Nuts are deity also.
Crack in foot are also the common problem in cold season. So, you should use pedicure or foot cream to avoid cracks in your foot.
In cold, you should wash your head at least thrice in a week but don’t use shampoo more than once in a week.
To clean your hands or legs, you can use boil water. You should not use more than thrice in a week boil water to clean your skin.

Facts and Suggestions Regarding Appetite & Health of Your Child
One of the most common complaints heard in a children clinic is “My child does not eat properly.” Often we have seen that the complaint is either far from the truth or a self created one, rather than the one that actually needs medical intervention or treatment. We will consider certain practical aspects of the problem. There are certain facts and suggestions regarding appetite & health of your child which I would like to share with you. These appetite & health suggestions tips are from “From the Malik Radix Health Care”:
1. Appetite of a child depends on age, race, community, season and individual himself. For example – one year old could have much more appetite than three or four year old. North Indian children generally have a better appetite than the south Indian children of the some ago group.
2. It is very surprising to know that two children of the same age, same weight & height can have different appetite, one eating twice than the other.
3. It should be borne in mind that apart from diseases, during which the appetite can be low, there are normal periods during which children naturally lose appetite. This can extend to, weeks together which is quite normal. Attempting to feed them forcefully during these periods will cause aversion for food, which can be very harmful to the overall growth and development of the child.
4. The most common myth is regarding the usage of tonics and appetizers. They are prescribed only to children with some deficiencies of vitamin and other nutrients, or to children suffering from certain diseases, that too for small periods. Tonics and appetizers are not routinely useful and should not be given for longer periods.
5. Some children remain thin and lean despite all efforts as the growth and weight of a child depends more on his genetic constitution. If the child is otherwise healthy, gaining weight and is active one can be assured that his appetite is normal.
6. Mothers should always watch weight rather than appetite. If weight for age is normal then the appetite is also normal.
7. Mothers should prepare different varieties of food and those liked by the child.
8. Do not feed frequently, instead give a gap of at least four to five hours between two meals, and i.e. stick to three to four meals a day and nothing in between.
9. Avoid chocolates, candies, cold drinks and junk food as these will lead to loss appetite.
10. Try to give some quantity from each of the 6 basic food groups i.e. milk/milk products, cereals, pulses, green leafy vegetables, fruits and non vegetarian if you are non vegetarian.
11. Whenever you suspect a reduced appetite, do prepare a complete diet chart of the child, i.e. the quality, the quantity and the time of food taken. Thereafter consult the doctor; this will help the pediatrician to evaluate the child more objectively.
There is scientific evidence that children can regulate their food intake reasonably well according to their energy needs. Any attempt to feed them forcibly will lead to deleterious consequences. Therefore mothers are advised to provide the child with variety of healthy foods in order to improve their appetite and health, and are also requested not to force food the child. Often the mothers offer the food to the child when he is not hungry yet.
How to Deal Children Psychologically to Develop Their Health
There are few suggestions to the parents regarding how to deal with children psychologically so that they turn out to be stable personalities. These health awareness tips are from “From the Malik Radix Health Care”:
1. It is natural that parents can have differences or disharmony among themselves but they should not fight in front of the child as it leads to feeling of insecurity in the delicate mind of child…
2. Although punishment is required at times, but, it should be minimum and the best way to punish is to deprive the child from some privilege. Child will not learn from scolding, beating or ridiculing.
3. Parents should show a consistent behaviour, child should be given a clear and fixed instruction & then the parents should stick to these instructions.
4. Over protection should be avoided especially in the setting of joint family, because it leads to dependence. Over protected children often turnout to be introverts and might not be able to make friends and remain introvert through out the life.
5. Unrealistic expectations should be avoided. Every child can’t maintain first position in the class, must be remembered by the parents.
6. Parents should never shout or shriek at their children for small issues. Instead child should be taken in a separate room and told firmly about his misconduct and that he will not be allowed to cross the norms.
7. Children should not be criticized in an unhealthy manner and should not be compared to other children in unfavorable manners.
8. Parents should not impose beyond a certain limit their own value systems, inspiration and philosophy on the child. Child should be helped in finding his own way out.
9. Busy parents should try to spend some time with their children and should try to engage in their learning activity.
These are the better suggestions to take care health of children psychologically to develop confident in them.

In the house where dogs and cats are present, the children can have frequent attacks of allergic problems. Try to avoid your child from smoky and polluted places. There should be good ventilation in schools and class rooms should not be over crowded.

There are some suggestions about prevention of accidents in children for better health care. These suggestions are from “From the Malik Radix Health Care:”

Educational training in addition at appropriate pool fencing can prevent 80% of drowning in many children.
Fences should completely isolate the pool from the house and yard.
Pools should be covered properly after swim time.
Parents should appreciate the risk of common house hold items like bath tubs, buckets, toilets and washing machine. They should be kept away from small children.
