India’s First Swine Flu Vaccine Launched by Bharat Biotech

Recently, a city-based biotechnology firm, Bharat Biotech announced the launch of India’s first indigenously developed cell culture H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccine under the brand name HNVAC.

Dr Krishna Ella who is the Bharat Biotech’s Chairman and Managing Director said, “The Company is proud to have developed and offered this vaccine with the best USFDA recommended cell culture technology for Indian consumers.”

Further he added, “While there’s certainly widespread and growing concern around H1N1, there are number of people, who did not get a flu shot last year. Our goal right now is to make the flu vaccine easily accessible and at affordable cost to high risk groups.”

“The company has been exploring ways in which Bharat Biotech can assist consumers and government agencies throughout this and subsequent flu season to get HNVAC flu shot,” according to Dr. Krishna Ella.

An online news portal about business and economy – economictimes.indiatimes.com, quotes the press release of Bharat Biotech, “HNVAC, is manufactured using cell culture technology, a complex process by which cells are grown under controlled conditions.”

Further the press release mentions, “The vaccine is tested extensively in one of the largest Phase I, II and III clinical trials for flu vaccines in India and has proved that it is safe and well tolerated.”

So, the Swine Flu Vaccine of Bharat Biotech has already been tested in 3 phases. Now, it is safe and well tolerated. Now, the company will try to assist consumers and government agencies also to get HNVAC flu shot.

Bharat Biotech is proud to launch the India’s first Swine Flu Vaccine very successfully. Now, the Vaccine is ready to remedy the Swine Flu. Some month before, first Indigenous H1N1 vaccine against swine flue was also announced. Now, Bharat Biotech announced India’s first Swine Flu Vaccine. This is the need of the current time.
